Besides a native speaker, I'm a teacher and Bachelor of Spanish Language and Literature, with a wide variety of teaching experience: I've worked in schools, language institutes and with private students of different ages (children, teenagers, adults) and nationalities (American, British, Indian, Chinese, French, Korean, among others). In these different contexts I've taught not only Spanish, in the areas of language, grammar, literature, reading and writing, among others, but also English.

In my classes I use different materials and methods (videos, audios, music, texts, etc.) so as to make the lesson more dynamic and (hopefully!) interesting. My intent is that each class is different from the last one, so both the student and I will be more motivated and insterested in the topic.
If possible, my intention is to complement memory with comprehension to work on grammar. To this end, I try to explain, when possible, what's the meaning or reason for certain grammatical rules, and if I know the native language of the student, I draw comparisons between them. Additionally, my Bachelor studies have given me a better insight into Spanish structures and grammatical mechanisms.
Thanks to my experience with students of different nationalities, levels and ages, I have a flexible approach to teaching, so the methodology, materials, rythm and orientation of the lessons are decided according to the caracteristics, objectives and interests of each student. After all, the most important thing in individual classes may be, in my opinion, being able to adapt them to the needs of each learner, and finding the best way to achieve their goals.
What happens if I need to cancel a class?
We can sometimes have issues that force us to cancel a class. Nevertheless, I ask that you let me know with at least four hours in advance, although I would appreciate if you could tell me 24 hours prior to the class. In that case, I'll be able to reorganize my day and use that time to work or for another student. If a student cancels often at the last minute or doesn't show to class, the class will be considered as done and charge accordingly.
Do you have more questions, doubts or want to meet me and see how I work?
You can book a 20-minute free class without any obligation! Or you can send me a message and we can chat about your objectives and the best way to do the classes.
