Hi, I'm Simon, and I teach English because I genuinely enjoy helping people achieve things they once thought were difficult. For me, teaching isn't simply about explaining grammar or correcting mistakes. It's about helping people become more confident, giving them the skills to communicate more effectively, and seeing the progress they make along the way. Whether you're preparing for an important exam, trying to communicate more confidently at work, or simply wanting to improve your English, I want to help you reach your goal. I qualified as an English teacher at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK in 1997, and I've worked as a teacher ever since. Over the past three decades, I've taught more than 25,000 hours of English to thousands of students from all over the world. After qualifying, I spent ten years teaching in Warsaw, Poland, working with both companies and language schools. In 2007, I returned to the UK and spent more than twelve years teaching at a language school, where I worked with students from many different countries and backgrounds. I started teaching on Classgap in June 2020 and have since helped hundreds of students improve their English. I specialize in exam English and business English. I help students prepare for the following exams: • B1 Preliminary (PET) • B2 First (FCE) • C1 Advanced (CAE) • C2 Proficiency (CPE) • IELTS For my business English students, my goal is to help them communicate more confidently and fluently in their professional lives. I use a combination of existing teaching materials and resources that I create myself, including worksheets and PowerPoint presentations. This allows me to adapt my lessons to each student's individual needs, level and goals. Outside teaching, I enjoy keeping fit, watching live sport and reading.
