Objectives for C1 Preparation classes
Reading
One of the hardest parts of the exam. The course is designed to take an indepth look at each of the five parts of the exam and highlight what is required for each part - part 1, part 5, part 6, part 7 and part 8. Walk-through in class the different parts of the reading exam, highlighting what students should be aware of when answering. Plenty of homework practice.
Look at the time involved for this part of the exam and the relationship to the number of points available for each section.
Special attention to parts 5, part 7 and 8 as they represent the most points available in the reading exam.
Use of English
Part 2, part 3 and part 4 - again highlight the requirements for each part, what part of grammar is required in part 2 and part 4. Discuss all answers to all parts as to why they are correct and incorrect. Plenty of in class practice and homework.

Practice, practice and practice - looking at each part and dissecting what is required. Strategies and tips for the different parts to maximise the candidates time and scoring potential. In class practice with discussion of answers in class.
