Since I achieved my Spanish Language and Literature degree in Universidad de Valencia, I have alternated my professional activity with the PhD studies, which I am about to conclude with a literary thesis. Apart from Literature, my great passion is teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. For that reason I oriented my formation, since the last year of my Bachelor, accomplishing a period of internship at the Centro de Idiomas of the University of Valencia and obtaining the International House Certificate in Spanish Language Teaching to Adults (CLTA) in Barcelona. Collaborative learning, through a task based communicative method, always predominates at my Spanish lessons. I consider a Spanish lesson effective as long as it makes the student feel involved and have fun, that is why is essential for me to adapt the contents to the pupil's interests. But at the same time I always put special attention on Spanish and Latin American culture through its history and literature, not only for the acquisition of a socio-linguistic competence but also because it is the field in which I am specialized; considering that, in my opinion, nothing can be taught more efficiently than what you truly love. Besides teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language I worked from 2009 to 2011 as a Secondary School Teacher in Spanish formal education as a Latin and Linguistics and Literature teacher. Lately one of my favorite projects with secondary school students has been the Creative Writing course that I teach for the Gifted and Talented Valencian Association (AVAST), in which I encourage students from 6 to more than 20 years old that have been recognized some degree of intellectual giftedness, to have a deep look into literary aspects and to reach their peak performance in language expression.
