About me

Hi, I’m Janice Blanchard, and I’m a native French speaker currently teaching French to students aged 3 to 14 in Shanghai, preparing them for DELF and IGCSE exams. My connection to French language and culture goes beyond just being a native speaker — I’ve spent my career immersed in teaching it, from supply teaching across France, to tutoring GCSE and DELF students in London, to my current role abroad. I hold a University Diploma in Complementary Teaching of French Didactics from Université Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle, so I bring both academic grounding and hands-on classroom experience to my lessons. I stay engaged with the language and culture daily — through my teaching, through French media and literature, and by continuously adapting my lessons to reflect how the language is really used today.
