About me

My name is Elena and I teach Spanish. With a PhD where I explored the relationships between music and poetry, I am convinced that a language can only be taught if it is taught in its full cultural context. To do so, I focus on every aspect of the language that has to do with the culture, the history, the gastronomy and the music and literature of the places where it's spoken. That way, you get to know every little aspect of the language that goes beyond its grammar (like the siesta culture, the different varieties of Spanish spoken across the world, the many different fiestas and typical dishes, popular music in Spanish-speaking countries aaand a long etc.)
