Vanessa

I am a passionate Canadian certified teacher and native English speaker. I have over 7 years of experience teaching Language Arts, Business Education, ELL, IB, IETLS, SSAT, SAT, and so on. In terms of education, I hold a post-degree Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria, and TEFL certification. I have been teaching as a certified teacher in Canada since 2015 and as a specialized tutor since 2012.  In addition to the classes above, I firmly believe in teaching practical skills that are useful to students in their lives. For example, my classes include plenty of opportunities for students to analyze, discuss, and practice what they have learned using case studies and non-fiction stories. My background in commerce, management, and education enables me to help students with Business/Professional English as well. I am experienced in teaching students from K-12, and I currently have students that range from Grade 1 - Grade 12 (public and private schools).
