About me

Brazilian teacher in Portugal knows the best of both worlds!

I have been teaching English and art for eleven years. I teach for all ages and I have a lot of experience with children aged four to twelve. I was born in Brazil and in 2019 I studied English for six months in Ireland, where I obtained the Cambridge: C1 Advanced certificate and where I had the opportunity to work in early childhood education. I am passionate about teaching and I always work to simplify the learning process for my students and to make sure they can learn in a fun and meaningful way. I prepare my lessons according to the needs of each student, focusing on the vocabulary they want or need to learn and on the skill they want to focus on (writing, reading, listening or speaking). However, I understand that language learning includes these four skills and, when possible, I work with all of them together. Part of the material I prepare is based on the media. I use reports, newspaper articles, Internet videos, music and pieces of TV shows as a way to teach grammar and vocabulary.
