Hi there My name is Teacher Simi. I live in the beautiful country of South Africa. It is such a pleasure to join you virtually in your part of the world. Let me begin by telling you a bit about myself. I am a qualified Journalist with more than 15 years of experience as a news reporter and writer. I also recently completed the Tefl 150-hour online course. I have such a passion for English as a written and spoken language and with my many years of writing experience, I wish to impart my knowledge of the beautiful language of English with every learner that I am fortunate to meet in my classroom. I have excellent communication skills and a very high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English. My teaching approach will be centered on Conversational Teaching and Learning. Every lesson will be filled with fun and interactive activities that will help you to improve your listening skills and be able to speak English more proficiently through simple, everyday learning techniques. I take a very simple approach to all my lessons by creating a safe, supportive and energetic classroom where every learner is given the opportunity to engage and converse openly. English as a second language may be daunting for many, but with my help and guidance, your journey to being able to communicate with confidence is just a click away. Using my conversational teaching method, I aim to help every learner gain confidence in their ability to converse openly outside of the classroom environment. I take inspiration from my daily life and I believe that nothing is impossible if you are willing to try so together let’s go on a journey of discovery and adventure.
