My name is Shelah, I was born and grew up in Central Africa, currently living in Johannesburg (South Africa) so my second language is Afrikaans and my native language is English. As a young girl I spent a lot of time reading books, so my knowledge is vast. Before I started teaching online, I worked at a large International company for many years in “Human Resources Training Dept” where I did various internal and external training for all employees. I have been an online English Tutor for 8 years. I have my certifications for teaching English. TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages) - 120hr TEFL (English as a foreign language) - 120hrs &150hrs TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) – 40hr I also travelled overseas for a year, visiting France, Italy, Greece, Paris, United Kingdom and America. My aim is to make you feel relaxed and comfortable so that you can achieve your goals. In my lessons we will discuss famous quotes and phrases. I will patiently work through the questions and quotations with you in a casual and relaxed manner, and provide you with the necessary skills to start conversations and build your confidence more when speaking English. I will provide you with constructive feedback on: Vocabulary, natural expression, pronunciation, (intonation, accent) and speaking structure.
