About me

Java, Python, C++ and Web Development tutor with 20+ years of teaching experience.

Hi, my name is Paul and I have a first-class degree in Computer Science from Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge, UK). I also have over 20 years of experience in teaching subjects such as Website Design (Front-end and back-end), Java, C++, SQL and Cloud Computing topics such as Linux based servers and NoSQL. I also have considerable commercial experience from industrial Real-time Operating Systems applications to the black art of Search Engine Optimisation. Teaching is something that I very much enjoy, and over the years have developed a set of practical learning tasks that are as interesting and as much fun as possible. Moreover, I am just as comfortable working with absolute beginners, as students wanting to tackle more advanced topics.

Paul is great at explaining complex concepts in an easy to understand way and is really good at sitting down with you and answering questions you have on programming subjects etc. He was more third year undergraduate project supervisor as well as teaching me on web design and C++ programming courses, I learnt a great deal and know he had good reputation of being a very approachable tutor in the Computer Science department.

Paul an excellent teacher. His teaching methods are very clear and concise. Always lectures with an intent to help you understand the material. He was very patient with everyone in class. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning.
