Mercedes

Hi! I am Mercedes Núñez, a fourth-year student of Classic Philology and English Studies and I tutor Latin and Greek students of any level. I also teach English and Spanish. I have experience of 4 years of teaching students from ages 4 to 18 years old. I can get adapted to whatever the student needs to study the most, explaining the most important matters and reviewing the weak points of the student. As in today, I have obtained the C1 in English and I have studied abroad for an entire school year in the United States, so my English is pretty good spoken and written. I also keep practicing my English daily since it is part of my university studies. As for the Classic languages (Latin and Ancient Greek), I obtained a 9,5 and 9, in that order, in Selectividad and I studied them also daily since it is part of my other career, so I have plenty of texts I could use for the students to practice and I have enough knowledge in order to explain everything clearly. I usually teach classes of 1 hour, but I could do one hour and a half if necessary. I am a very responsible and punctual person, so the student does not have to worry about that matter. When teaching Latin and Greek I usually send homework so we can check them out on the next class we would have. I like to do that so I can see how the student works with time and I like for the student to see their mistakes explained at the moment. I also like for the student to translate a text in class (shorter than the homework) to see how they work with a time limit, as it will happen in their exams at school.
