Hello! I'm Dr. Mariam, and I'm excited to share a bit about myself with you. As a university professor with a strong love for language and literature, I've spent many years immersed in the world of words. I hold a BA in Literature, along with two master's degrees—one in Linguistics and the other in Teaching English as a Second Language—and a PhD in Linguistics. This journey has really deepened my appreciation for the beauty and nuances of language! With 15 years of teaching under my belt, I’ve had the joy of working in a variety of educational settings, from universities to schools and institutions. I've taught students of all ages and backgrounds, helping each one boost their language skills and gain the confidence they need to shine. Holding certifications in CELTA and TESOL has equipped me with some fantastic teaching strategies, and I love to create lessons that are not just informative but also engaging and fun for everyone. My passion for education means that I strive to make my classroom a positive and supportive space where every student feels valued. I truly believe in nurturing a love for literature and language, encouraging students to think critically and creatively as they explore a wide range of texts and perspectives. In my classes, I focus on building essential skills in writing, speaking, and comprehension. I want every student to feel heard, valued, and ready to succeed, so I provide constructive feedback to help them grow. Collaboration is a big part of my teaching style too!
