Over these 9 years of teaching, I have helped dozens of people secure jobs in companies such as Netflix, Amazon, Google, Ericsson, and Pfizer, among others. My goal as a professor is for my students to master the English language and turn it into a tool for their professional or academic lives. Whether they need to prepare for a job interview abroad, communicate with clients from another country for their work, or take a TOEFL-style exam, I teach them to refine the language so they can take advantage of opportunities that propel them to grow professionally. My method is very similar to that of Kale Anders, and I place a strong emphasis on each student's individual goals. Since each person has different language objectives, I always seek to adjust sessions and materials according to each person's needs, encouraging them to express themselves and gradually improve their grammar, vocabulary, and verbal agility. Some of the activities we engage in include debates, pronunciation exercises, simulations of situations, audio and grammar exercises, and readings, all tailored to their level and goals. The aim is for them to express themselves confidently and clearly, regardless of the situation. This method has proven to be very efficient with students of different backgrounds, from actors to entrepreneurs, and I have had very good results.
