About me

Let me help to make maths easier to understand with my 10 year tutoring expertise.

My name is Leon. I tutor GCSE Maths and Computer Science from GCSE through to A-Level, degree, and Master’s level. Lessons with me are designed to help students quickly build confidence, close gaps in understanding, and improve exam performance through clear, structured teaching. I bring 15+ years of tutoring experience alongside over 25 years of real world commercial experience in computing and mathematical problem solving. This allows me to explain both Maths and Computer Science subjects in a practical and relatable way. This approach focuses on clarity, confidence, and steady progress, helping students understand not just how to answer questions, but why methods work and how they are applied. My lessons support students of all abilities, including those who benefit from structured, step-by-step and SEND-aware teaching approaches. A free initial consultation session is available to assess current ability, identify key learning gaps, and demonstrate how I approach exam questions.

Feedback from my students

Most importantly, Leon knows his stuff regarding Computer Science. My son is preparing for an IGCSE exam and Leon has proven to us that he knows his subject well and is well able to Tailor his knowledge to suit his students needs. Furthermore, he has shown a high level of patience and understanding. If the necessity arises again regarding Computer Science or Maths, Leon will certainly be our first point of call.
