Kristy

My name is Kristy and I am 38 years old. I have been a teacher for over 12 years. I taught spanish to children in public schools in the US and adults at a small university in the United States. I taught children English in Madrid for 2 years and now I teach teenagers and adults Spanish. I worked for an academy for 3 years and am now only teaching private classes. I have a lot of experience and many happy students. I have 4 years experience with preparing students to take FIRST, First for schools and Advanced and I even prepared two students to take Proficiency and they both passed! I use mostly games that I have created to help students learn. For conversation classes, generally I give homework such as watching a movie or tv show, or reading an article of your choice. This allows us to work on new vocabulary, gives you a new way to express yourself and learn doing things you are interested in! I give homework to those students who want it butI believe that homework is very important to help you learn. My goal is your goal. I want you to learn! I feel very happy when I see you succeeding because it means I am doing my job well. Everything caters to you, with your strengths and weaknesses. I offer a free 15 minute lesson so you can see what I'm like and then make the decision to stay or find another teacher.
