Speak English confidently with a patient and friendly teacher personalised lessons for all levels. Greetings! My name is Laurendinah. I come from Lesotho, the beautiful mountain kingdom of Africa. I am a passionate and dedicated teacher with a strong command of English also a deep love for education. Teaching is not just a job but it is a purpose. I truly enjoy helping learners to grow, discover their potential and gain confidence in their abilities. I have over 10 years of teaching experience and hold a Diploma in Adult Education, along with a 120 hour TEFL Certification. Throughout my journey, I have taught a wide range of subjects including English, Sesotho, Social studies, science, Agriculture, mathematics, Home Economics, Health Education and life skills. This diverse background has equipped me with the ability to connect with learners from different educational needs and levels. I help both adults and teenagers navigate their challenges. In addition, I spent 6 years delivering Voter education programs, where I led workshops for various groups, such as community leaders, teenagers, police officers, national security services. I also trained election staff, candidates, political agents and facilitated public gatherings. These experiences strengthened my communication leadership, and facilitation skills. Recently I have supported learners through WhatsApp locally and continue to assist after school students with their homework. I taught herdboys numeracy and literacy skills over the weekend with great teaching enthusiasm. I guide village health workers and support groups using flash cards to help them communicate clearly with patients despite limited literacy skills. My teaching approach is based on a communicative methodology, focusing on real life conversations and practical application. I believe learning should be engaging, interactive and enjoyable. I love seeing Learner's faces light up when they understand something new and I take pride in helping them to grow from being curious to becoming confident speakers. I create a positive, supportive and friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. Outside of teaching, I enjoy visiting places of interest, reading magazines and attending cultural events in. These hobbies help me to stay energetic and bring fresh perspectives into my lessons.
