About me

I'm a highly qualified English tutor with 15+ years of experience of exam preoaration

My name is Katerina. I am originally from Russia but I live in California, USA. I have been running my own school and teaching for over 15 years. I believe the true value of a teacher is the dedication to his subject. My students often tell me that my passion for English is absolutely contagious, and if so, I'm happy to spread this amazing virus. As a person I am highly dedicated, ambitious, responsible, motivating, flexible and easy to get on with. I have a very active lifestyle combining crossfit, yoga and dancing. On quieter days I indulge myself in simple pleasures such reading, cooking and spending time outdoors. Amongst my professional accomplishments the most prominent are TEFL Level 5 certificate, Cambridge English Proficiency (Grade A), Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (all three modules). Teaching higher levels has been my main focus for the past few years. My students pass B2-C1 exams with flying colours. I have been internal Cambridge examiner for 10 years, so I know exactly what strategies to use in order to ensure successful exam preparation and outstanding results. What is more, I have relevant experience in teaching for IELTS and TOEFL. Our classes are sure to be peppered with intelligent humour and positive vibes.
