Hello, I’m Jay, a native English speaker originally from Scotland and now living in Wales. I have two years’ experience privately supporting international students with English online, alongside two years delivering face-to-face training across different subjects. I hold a degree in Community Education and an ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring. I welcome learners from all backgrounds, including teenagers aged 12 and over, adults and international students. Whether you’re a beginner or practising at B1 or B2 level, lessons will be tailored to your needs, interests and goals. Interview preparation and report-writing support are available from age 16. In our first lesson, we’ll discuss what you want to achieve and agree a pace that suits you. Lessons will combine clear explanations, practical activities and plenty of time to practise. Conversation topics can include hobbies, work, travel or other interests. We can focus on conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, interview answers or clearer writing. My management and report-writing background also helps me support learners who want to organise information and communicate it effectively. You’ll receive constructive feedback, short lesson notes and optional practice activities to help you track your progress. I look forward to meeting you.
