Hi everyone! My name is Isabella Martinez. I am currently double majoring in Business Administration and Psychology at the Anderson School of Management in New Mexico. I would love to tutor you in English or Spanish! I have been solo traveling since age 16, living in Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, and Costa Rica for extended periods of time. I earned my TEFL certification and have used it to work as a privately hired tutor and childcare center language assistant during my travels over the past 5 years. While living in Spain, I earned my DELE C1 certification, a globally recognized title certifying a highly advanced degree of mastery of Spanish, granted by Spain's Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. Although all of my grandparents speak Spanish, they did not teach my parents. I worked hard to teach myself Spanish so that I could connect to my heritage and open up more countries where I could travel and communicate in the native language. I am passionate about helping others do the same, especially because I know how hard it is to teach yourself a language without help! My classes are structured based on the student's needs and level. I love to incorporate cultural material (songs, video clips, news stories, etc.) into my lessons. This method is what helped me become fluent in Spanish, and I find that these materials help students connect to the language in a way that's exciting to them.
