History from the Romans to the XXI century
-About me
During my university experience in La Sapienza of Rome, I've attended classes of ancient history, middle age history, modern and contemporary history. My professors are some of the most important historians and intellectuals of the Italian scenario and I had the honor to attend one of the most excellent program of ancient history and classic study of the world (https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/university-subject-rankings/2019/classics-ancient-history). Among them Ive been taught by: Professor Thornton about ancient history, specially focus in roman and Etruria history; Professor Marini, Professor Comba about middle age history; Professor Vidotto, Professor Sabatini, Professor Mattera and Professor Banti about modern and contemporary history. My theoretical knowledge is improved by an intese and authentic passion for the subject. I've born in a city that is characterized by the presence of the past, history has never been something abstract for me, I see it in the urban view, I touch it in the cold marmo of ancient columns, I can also walk over it, in the streets built thousand of years ago, its presence always has surrounded me and I can not imagine my personal background without this important aspect of my formation. History is not just something cover by dust, but is alive when we have to analyze a society, when we have to learn a language, when we have to understand an economic process. History is what we have been, what we are and what we can be.To explain one of the main objective of history I would like to quote Bernard of Chartres " nos esse quasi nanos gigantium humeris insidentes".
-Objectives and method
All the lessons are organized taking in account the age and the personal level of knowledge. I can provide summaries, power points and conceptual maps to help my students in the memorization process. I can suggest website to find original papers, essays, and also to experience virtual visit of monuments or museums, I always suggest to have a test to get to know each other better and to understand the general level where to start.

Hello! I'm Eleonora, I really believe that everybody can learn everything and that there is no limit for a brain. The key is a strategy based on the personal orientation of the student. It doesn't matter how much difficult seems a subject or an objective, a good teacher know how to motivate and how to improve day by day his students skills and competence. For these reasons I try my best to understand my students, to get to know them and how they process informations to provide the best programs for their needs. In my experience, I've realized that a good combination between dynamic teaching and a more traditional exercise focus on memorization is a well balanced method not just to improve the knowledge but also to gradually teach to be an independent student.Daily practice and patient if you wish to master it but without forgetting the latin motto "ludendo docere"!
