About me

Certified TEFL tutor with more than 15 years experience in International schools.

I am a native English speaker from the U.K. I have a BA degree in Linguistics and a BSC in Nutrition. I have spent the past 15 years teaching English in International schools in Thailand. I have also worked in Language School's around Bangkok, coaching students for their IELTS and TOEFL exams. I can teach from beginner to advanced level and I can tailor my lessons according to whatever area you wish to learn or which language skill you would like to improve on. I can also teach business English for adults. Before teaching English, I used to be a chef. I spent over 20 years working in the hotel and catering industry and I also went to Culinary school in the USA. I have worked in front-of house as well, in 5* hotels. My culinary experience is mostly in Western cooking and desserts. Some of you may be wanting to enter the Hospitality industry, maybe working in hotels abroad or working on the ships,etc. I am familiar with the English and American terminology and colloquial speech used in this industry, so I can help you with that too. I know learning languages takes a lot of effort and practice, especially if you want to be good at it. I studied German in high School and at one stage back then I could speak it fairly well. I have learned to speak Thai fluently, since I have been in Thailand and I can speak Dutch at conversational level.
