Hi to all! My name is Christina and I am 23 years old. I have studied History and Archeology in Greece and I am currently living in Sweden where I am doing my Masters. During my studies in Greece, I offered private lessons to high school students. During this year I started teaching Greek to foreigners which is very interesting and enjoyable. During my lessons, I use a specific book to follow a structure and schedule that helps both my students and myself. Students sometimes have assignments to better understand what we did. Therefore, I create my own exercises and material to help students understand the new knowledge even better, in case I judge that there is some additional difficulty. Apart from these we always do oral practice which is the main aim of every student. My goal is to make the lesson as fun as I can, so that the students have a nice and pleasant time with me.

In questi anni ho accumulato esperienza nel fornire lezioni private, dapprima all'interno della scuola attraverso il progetto "Peer tutoring" e, poi, autonomamente. Nel corso del tempo ho avuto l’opportunità di seguire ragazzi e ragazze delle scuole medie e delle superiori attraverso lezioni sia in presenza sia online, raggiungendo sempre, con grande gioia, ottimi risultati.
Attualmente lavoro in una scuola in cui seguo, ricoprendo un ruolo di supporto, un primo anno della materna e contemporaneamente, all’interno della stessa scuola, mi occupo delle ore di appoggio allo studio per gli studenti delle elementari.
Il mio metodo di insegnamento prevede innanzitutto l’ascolto degli studenti e delle studentesse per indagare le loro reali necessità. Dopo di che cerco di capire, confrontandomi con i ragazzi e le ragazze, come poter organizzare al meglio il lavoro. Il mio obiettivo primario è, infatti, quello di adattare ogni ora di lavoro alle esigenze e alle caratteristiche proprie di ogni persona che seguo. Quindi se necessario si può, ad esempio, fare ricorso a mappe, schemi, riassunti, supporti digitali e simili. Nel corso del tempo dedico dei momenti al confronto con gli studenti e le studentesse al fine di valutare come stiamo procedendo, se le modalità di studio funzionano e in generale per mettere in risalto aspetti che si possono cambiare o mantenere.
Un altro elemento che mi sta particolarmente, a cuore, oltre al confronto, è quello dell’apprendimento sostanziale. Con ciò voglio dire che per me è molto importante che si impari capendo davvero ciò che si studia, evitando del tutto modalità di studio passive o meccaniche.
