The higher the score, the more complicated the text you can read. I assign relevant text based on student interest, as well as Lexile level. Example: If your Lexile level is 700 and you like animals, I might assign a Lexile level text of 750 (to challenge you a little and slowly increase your ability) relating to that topic.
