About me

Hello everyone! I’m Bernat Aranda, Conference Interpreter, Translator and Language Tutor and I offer Spanish and Catalan classes adapted to English speakers. I studied Translation and Interpreting at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and I have worked as a teacher for 7 years. Since I was a child, I have studied languages, and that allows me to know how my students feel throughout the learning process. I have taught both Spanish and Catalan (my native languages) as well as English and French to students coming from very different cultural and social backgrounds. All these experiences made me raise more awareness about how important our world view is when learning a new language. When I teach, I always take into account my student’s mother tongue, as it will play a major role in the student’s difficulties. I love to adapt classes to my students’ needs. Many people are afraid of learning a language because they connect it with suffering and having a bad time, but I do not think that one needs to have a bad time in order to learn. It is very important to embrace mistakes and use them as crucial learning tools. No question in my classes will be considered as being silly and any grammar point can be reviewed again, no matter how basic it is.

Hola buen día... Mi calificación para Bernat es 10, ya que realmente es una persona muy dedicada a su vocación con los idiomas, en mi caso llevando constantemente clases de ingles, y puedo decir que es un chico muy responsable, respetuoso, puntual y muy agradable. Gracias a su apoyo, paciencia y dinámicas que utiliza he podido aprender y entender desde luego cada vez mas el idioma. Os recomiendo, sin duda muy buen Profesor. :D

I had very good classes with Bernat unfortunately due to work commitments I no longer have the time for the classes. Hopefully in the future we can resume. If you are looking for flexibility and a pasiante tutor who works with you at your speed I 100% recommend, very frindley and fun classes.

Bernat se prepara muy bien las clases. Cada semana avanzamos en vocabulario y gramática. Nos hace hablar mucho que es lo que más nos cuesta.

Bernat es una persona organizada que se prepara muy bien las clases adaptándolas a mis las necesidades (Intermediate) y son muy amenas y variadas. Cada semana trabajamos tanto grammar, como reading, listening y mucho speaking. Os lo recomiendo, es un genial profesor.

Creo que Bernat es un buen profesional, se prepara las clases, ayuda a los alumnos etc.

Nunca he tenido un profesor mejor que Bernat! Está pendiente de las necesidades de sus estudiantes y organiza muy bien las clases para que nunca sean aburridas! He aprendido mucho con él y siempre me ha facilitado material para poder estudiar y mejorar mis conocimientos. Os aconsejo las clases de Bernat por si queréis empezar el estudio del francés o si queréis mejorarlo: os ayudará y acompañará en este camino con todos sus conocimientos y pasió ... n!

Sus clases son amenas y se nota que siempre se las prepara, se preocupa por sus alumnos y de que éstos sigan bien la clase y aprendan, tiene muy buen método de enseñanza. En mi caso concreto he avanzado y aprendido mucho con él. Sin duda repetiría yendo a sus clases.

Bernat es un profesor genial! Tomé con el clases de ingles durante unos meses y me quedé encantada. Su método se adapta a cualquier necesidad y está siempre dispuesto a ayudarte al máximo, haciéndote aprender el idioma de forma rápida y amena. Lo súper recomiendo!

Bernat es un profesor espectacular. Es puntual, atento, paciente y amable. Su manera de enseñar es única y muy eficaz. Toma en cuenta las necesidades de cada alumno y sabe variar muy bien las actividades para que las clases sean útiles e interesantes. Además es muy creativo y crea las tareas propias muy divertidas. Lo recomiendo 100%.

Bernat has a great knowledge of the Spanish language and has a lot of passion in teaching it.
