Aasiya

Hello my name is Aasiya, I am from the beautiful country of South Africa. I have a passion for teaching and transferring my skills to other people. I am ambitious and goal driven. I thrive on challenges and set goals for myself so I have something to strive towards and I always looking for an opportunity to do better. On a personal level, I am a fun person to work with as I am creative, practical and well organized. My interest includes, meeting new people from around the world and learning about their cultures. I enjoy listening to music, watching Tv shows, trying new cuisines along with cooking, reading adventures book, being physically active playing sports and team games, lastly i love teaching English. I have had the pleasure of teaching children aged 5-10 years old in a classroom at a primary school. My teaching style can be best described as interactive, supportive and transparent. I like setting realistic objectives which enables students to learn effectively. I also encourage my students to ask questions when they have one. participate in conversations and respond actively during class discussions. I like using questions to test the understanding and progress of my lesson. I pride myself upon using effectively materials like, props to help understanding, videos to gain more information, fun activities to enable a lively and comfortable learning environment and delivery of my lesson. lastly I like to use the TPR method.
