Hello everyone! I am Youyou, from Langfang, a beautiful city in the core area of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. It is not only known as the "Pearl of the Beijing-Tianjin Corridor", but also has extremely convenient transportation. It only takes 30 minutes to reach Beijing by high-speed rail, and the geographical location is very advantageous. I graduated in 2004 with a college degree and a CET-4 certificate, which laid a solid foundation for my bilingual teaching.
In the past 4 years of teaching, I have focused on teaching Chinese to beginners, and am particularly good at teaching practical spoken Chinese in daily life. My course design pays special attention to "learning for practical use". From the most basic pinyin and tones to daily greetings, shopping and ordering, asking for directions and taking taxis, I use interactive methods such as scenario simulation and role-playing to help students quickly master practical Chinese in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Many students reported that they could confidently speak complete sentences after the first class!
As a mother of three lovely children, I know how to teach with patience and love better than most people. I will use vivid metaphors, fun games and examples close to life to explain knowledge points, just like teaching my own children. For example, when teaching the most basic greeting "hello", I will design different scenarios such as "meeting a neighbor in the morning" and "meeting a friend in the mall" to let students master the usage naturally in different contexts.
I firmly believe that language learning should be a joyful process. In my class, you can not only learn authentic Chinese expressions, but also learn interesting little knowledge about Chinese culture. For example, we will discuss why Chinese people like to ask "Have you eaten?", what is the difference between "Hello" and "Ni hao", etc. Through this entertaining way, even learners with no basic knowledge can quickly get started.
