Hi! I'm Yess, I live in Costa Rica and I'm a teacher of Spanish as a second language. I love languages; I think they are like a small window to understand the world in different ways. I like students to feel comfortable in class and gain confidence to get along better speaking Spanish with native speakers. I love learning from my students and getting to know other cultures through our conversations. I have had students from many different countries - China, Germany, United States, Iran, Japan, Nigeria, South Korea and many more - and I feel that meeting such diverse people has enriched me as a person. I like to explain grammar topics applied to practice - that is, explaining a concept in order to practice it and help you incorporate it into your oral and written production. In class, I provide authentic situations where you can spontaneously practice the language and learn by doing. I believe that, just as we learn in life by reflecting on what we do and have done, so too do we learn languages: by doing and analyzing what we have done.
