As a rule, I combine up to five different sources for each lesson. I use TORFL (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) presentations and modern textbooks like Tochka, Russian Souvenir, New Souvenir, A Living Russian Grammar, Let’s Improve Our Russian, and Poekhali.
I structure my lessons based on your individual needs, but typically, a 1-hour lesson consists of:
a) 15 minutes – Introducing new grammar concepts through interactive presentations.
b) 30 minutes – Intense practice, such as reading, pronunciation, or grammar, depending on your level and goals.
c) 15 minutes – Working on basic dialogues and useful phrases. Even if you’re a complete beginner, I believe it’s important to focus on practical communication from the very first lesson.
After each lesson, you’ll receive homework that includes exercises, presentations, and audio files. I’m also available to answer any questions you have between lessons.
