I moved to Germany when I was 10 years old and learned German relatively quickly. I started translating documents, letters, emails and phone calls for my father's company (mainly Russian-German). Through my own experience of learning German, migrating to a foreign country, and helping my 13-year-old younger brother with homework, I understand the difficulties of children and adults who have recently moved to Germany and are struggling to overcome language barriers. I studied Linguistics, Cultural Studies and Literature at the Technical University of Dresden, majoring in English and Musicology/Art History. I completed my BA degree in 2021 and have been working as a freelancer ever since. I have a Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (Grade B, 05/2015) and a Certificate in Advanced Professional English (C1, 08/2018). I have also spent some time abroad to improve my English language and communication skills. In my lessons, I use a variety of methods that are tailored to the individual needs of my students and I am open to new, playful approaches. I have practiced patience with my younger brother and can empathize with a language learner as I have learned 2 languages myself. My lessons are aimed at students of all ages and levels and I adapt my approach accordingly. I have a flexible and very adaptable schedule. I can give both online and private lessons in Dresden. The hourly rate is negotiable.
