I’m from Madrid, but I currently live in New York, where I’ve already been for a couple of years. This has helped me to achieve a native English level; in fact, I have the Advanced Cambridge Exam (CAE) wich certificates it.
Furthermore, I’m currently studying a Psychology degree. Due to this, I’ve learned some techniques that help me to establish a confident climate with my students so I can teach them the lenguage in the most efficient way. In addition, I have also received a leisure monitor training, which has given me resources to dynamize the classes and to make them entertaining.
I have 4 years of experience as an english private tutor. I actually have some students that are between 8 and 16 years old; however, I have no problem adapting to older or younger people.
To conclude, I would like to explain that with the teaching method I use in my classes, only English is spoken. I try not to use Spanish, no matter what, so that fluency is gained. This prevents from acquiring the simultaneous Spanish-English translation that slows communication. Anyway, as I’m Spanish and speak Spanish too, if the student starts learning English from scratch, there will never be a lack of understanding by any of the parties.
