Today we’ll tackle *solving linear equations*, because it’s the foundation for almost everything else in algebra. Let’s start with a simple example: *2x + 5 = 15* Step 1: Ask yourself, “What’s stopping x from being alone?” Here it’s the +5 and the 2 multiplying x. Step 2: Move the +5 to the other side by subtracting 5 from both sides. 2x + 5 - 5 = 15 - 5 → 2x = 10 Step 3: Divide both sides by 2 to isolate x. 2x ÷ 2 = 10 ÷ 2 → x = 5 See? No magic, just balance. Whatever you do to one side, you do to the other. In my classes, we won’t just memorize steps. I’ll show you _why_ each step works using real-life examples, quick quizzes, and visual diagrams so it sticks. We’ll go at your pace, with zero judgment if you make mistakes – that’s how we learn.
