About me

I hold a PhD in physics from the University of Barcelona and I am a researcher with a background in computational modelling and complex systems. I have spent over six years teaching at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Barcelona, including supervision of undergraduate and master's dissertations. I specialise in mathematics, physics and statistics for university students. I work a lot with students from humanities and social sciences who encounter quantitative subjects for the first time: I know the issue is rarely ability, but rather the lack of a bridge between two different ways of thinking — and building that bridge is something I genuinely enjoy. I adapt each class to what the student needs: sometimes that means working through a specific problem, sometimes it means going back to basics to understand what is really going on. I teach in English, Spanish, Catalan and Italian.
