About me

Hey! I’m Sami, a polyglot who has been teaching languages for over eight years. Since 2019 I have been teaching exclusively online and I am currently heavily specialised in this field. Languages are my passion, and I will do my best to make sure you learn to fall in love with them too. :) I am a lover of indoors activities, such as playing video games, painting, composing new songs or just good old fashioned “bedrotting”. I can speak seven languages proficiently, and another twelve languages fluently. I have worked with students with all kinds of backgrounds, as well as neurodivergent people and pupils with learning disabilities. My approach to teaching is very straightforward yet extremely effective. I call it “THE ASS” (the animal, not the body part 🫏): 1. Assess: We will do an initial assessment of your general level in all five main aspects of the language (speaking, reading, listening, writing and use of language). Over time we will continue to refine said assessment. 2. Suit: I have a library of 1000+ exercises that I have created myself over the past few years, aiming to make learning a language easier by taking into account your native language. I will adapt my teaching style to your own specific needs, and we will come up with a list of objectives for you. 3. Scrutinise: I will work hand in hand with you to make sure we accomplish the objectives we have set previously. I will be constantly monitoring you not just from a teacher’s perspective, but also from an educational psychologist’s. You will receive periodical feedback on your progress.
