Hello! My name is Salomé Honório. I am a poet, researcher, and freelance translator with experience tutoring in one-to-one contexts. I am a native Portuguese speaker, currently living and working in Portugal. I have an MA in English from the University of Sussex, and I just completed my PhD in Comparative Studies, at the University of Lisbon. I am especially invested in tailoring classes to students' own needs, curiosities and priorities. Thanks to various years of training in literary and cultural studies, with a strong focus on gender and sexuality studies, I can provide useful information and resources on these topics. I am quite into pop culture - especially video games, comics, films, and TV. Consider me a geek, in this aspect. I'm passionate about popular culture, and interested in finding ways to incorporate it into the teaching experience.
