Hello! My name is Nuno Miguel Maia, Native Portuguese Teacher, with several years of experience in language teaching. I am graduated since 2001 in Portuguese - English, Escola Superior de Educação, Comunicação e Esporte de Guarda. Diploma in Language Acquisition, ESOB Portugal and Administration Business Portuguese, Superior School of Technologies of Guarda. Currently, I work at San Patricio International School, in Monterey. Besides, I work in the afternoons with tutoring and I have a Language School for children, in Colonia Satelite. My classes have different levels of tutoring: Portuguese / English for Specific Purposes: Portuguese, Working Language courses are aimed at people who intend to develop communicative skills in their professional area. These courses have a methodology based on tasks/simulation of concrete situations, presenting documents and activities of specific professional fields, so that students are confronted with the linguistic practices of each area. Self-study The Portuguese as a Foreign Language/ Self-study courses allow the development of oral and written comprehension skills, based on the interaction with the self-correcting contents of the courses, without tutoring. In this modality, the student can access all the course contents, at his/her own pace, for 12 weeks. Basic The Portuguese/English Lengua Extranjera/Basico courses allow students to develop the 4 skills (oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression). In addition to the possibility of interaction with the expository and self-corrective contents of the courses, the student has 6 interactions of 60 minutes with a tutor (via TEAMS), throughout the 12 weeks of the course, as well as formative evaluation of 6 written productions. Premium The Portuguese as a Foreign Language/ Premium courses allow the development of the 4 skills (oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression). In addition to the possibility of interacting with the expository and self-corrective contents of the courses, the student has 60-minute interactions with a tutor (via TEAMS), carried out individually (5 per week, throughout the 12 weeks of the course), as well as formative evaluation of 12 written productions. This modality is intended for students who are looking for an exhaustive experience and a personalized accompaniment of their learning. Thank you!
