About me

Hello! My name is Mariana, and I am a Brazilian Portuguese teacher from Rio de Janeiro. I have been teaching Portuguese online since 2020 and have experience working with adults and teenagers from different countries and cultural backgrounds. I hold a degree in Pedagogy and postgraduate qualifications in Conference Interpreting and Psychopedagogy. My lessons are personalized according to each student’s level, interests, and goals. We can work on conversation, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, listening comprehension, and Brazilian culture. I especially enjoy helping students who have a Brazilian partner, relatives, friends, or a personal connection with Brazil. I am a patient, calm, and welcoming teacher. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and progress at your own pace. When necessary, I can explain grammar and vocabulary in English. I would be happy to help you communicate more naturally and confidently in Brazilian Portuguese!
