About me

Hi, I'm Lena! I am a German native speaker and German tutor with 10 years of experience. I have a first class degree in Literature and History from the University of Vienna and an MA degree in Acting from the University of Essex. I am currently teaching individual students aged 7 - 75, as well as classes at German Saturday School Ealing and German courses for companies and colleges. I am experienced in preparing students for GCSE exams as well as German Abitur. All my students have received excellent results in their exams (9/A*). I won the Association of German Saturday Schools UK and Goethe Institute's Teaching Award 2025. Whether you are completely new to German, you are looking for a tutor to support with GCSE prep, improve your conversational German for travelling or are looking for a coach to work on your Business German, I'll tailor the lessons to your needs and goals. I usually bring in original texts, articles, music, videos etc. appropriate to your level. For younger learners, I like to prepare fun and playful lessons tailored to the student's interests. I always love to bring some drama games and creative activities to my lessons for children. As a trained actor, I can also help you with pronunciation and preparation for job interviews or presentations. I'm looking forward to hearing from you, bis bald!
