About me

¡Hola! I am Laura, from Spain. I am a passionate language teacher who believes that learning Spanish can be easy and fun. My experience as a Spanish teacher comprises three years so far. For two years, I have been a Spanish lecturer at NUIG (National University of Ireland, Galway), where I had students from beginner to intermediate levels, and from all age groups (children, teenagers, adults). I have also worked at the Language Centre of the University of Leon, where I was lucky to teach all levels (A1-C1) with young adults and diverse nationalities. About my academic background, I can say that continuous training and professional development are a key factor for an effective teaching. I have studied a degree in English Studies, a master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, a master's degree in Teacher Training (area: English), supplemented with several training courses. In my classes I care to combine grammar with vocabulary and spoken exercises to develop all linguistic skills, while knowing the student's preferences, likes and previous experience to make their learning easier, more active and interactive. You'll be speaking Spanish from the very first day. I can't wait to meet you and help you learn Spanish!
