Hello! I’m a harmony specialist, pianist and film composer who loves helping students finally feel confident with music theory and composition. My own background is in advanced harmony and film scoring, and I’ve taught both in schools and one‑to‑one online with students preparing for GCSE, A Level, IB, ABRSM/Trinity theory and university music courses.
In our classes, we start by talking about your goals: maybe you need to pass an exam, strengthen SATB chorale writing, understand harmony for your instrument, or build a film‑music portfolio. Then I organise a clear plan for you, with each lesson focused on one or two key skills so you never feel lost. You’ll see and hear everything in real time as I demonstrate at the piano and write on screen, and then we practise together until it feels natural.
What makes my lessons different is the mix of serious, structured harmony work with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I explain ideas in simple language, give plenty of encouragement, and always link theory to real music you care about. You will leave each class knowing exactly what you improved, what to practise, and how it moves you closer to your goals. I’d be very happy to work with you and help you turn harmony and composition into one of your strengths
