Hello everyone, I'm Jeancarlos. I have a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), and I'm currently finishing my Master's degree in Philosophy at the same university. I'm particularly interested in the thought surrounding the mind-body relationship throughout history and contemporary phenomenology of the body. I'm also very interested in the philosophy of Nietzsche and other later authors, as well as critiques of modernity. I'm also interested in classical and contemporary Japanese culture and philosophy as a key to understanding contemporary and pop cultural phenomena. I've been a teaching assistant for philosophy and argumentation courses at PUCP for over eight years. I enjoy the possibility of making learning a versatile dialogue tailored to each student's interests. We start with those interests and explore the history of thought to find elements that help us better understand what's happening today, what concerns us. From there, we'll select readings and exercises that allow each student to achieve their learning objectives. We can discuss a specific topic, create a customized learning program, or improve your Spanish through conversation, always with a philosophical touch. My interests are diverse, so feel free to share yours with me.
