About me

Hi. My name is Javier and I am teaching Spanish for more than 20 years. I am currently working in a UGR center, and I usually have hourly availability in the afternoon, with some gaps in the morning. I offer classes at all levels (A1-C1), both subjects (literature, culture, cooking ...) and language (grammar, oral and written expression, specific uses: Spanish gastronomy, Spanish sports , Spanish for tourism ...), as well as preparation classes for the DELE exam of the Cervantes Institute or any other area of interest for the student.

Quiero recomendar a Javier a cualquier persona que esté interesada en mejorar su nivel de español, pero sobre todo en sacarse un título oficial SIELE/DELE. Fue capaz a guiarme a sacar el C1 en solo un mes, aunque yo mismo tenía muchas dudas. Javier es muy competente, muy simpático y ademas tiene mucha paciencia. ¡Gracias!

Las clases con Javier son estupendo. He tenido muchos profesores de español en los pasados 15 años, y generalmente no son tan dedicados, simpaticos, or professionales como Javier. Tambien nunca hice un clase de español cocinando hasta ahora! He aprendido mucho. Javier es muy paciente, entusiasmado, y tiene muchas ideas. Por eso los clases siempre son interesantes y diferentes. Usamos libros a veces, y listados, pero tambien videos y el internet. ... Aprendí mucho por actiones como cocinar o caminar, y por supuesto hablamos mucho. Nunca fue aburrido. Antes de que Javier fuera mi profesor de español en el verano de 2005 mis estudios estaban enfocados principalmente hacia la Filología inglesa. La dedicación y pasión con las que impartía sus clases, empezando o terminando con la lectura de un poema, despertaron mi interés por la poesía española contemporánea. Total, siete años después defendí mi tesis doctoral sobre poesía española (¡no inglesa!) del último tercio del s. XX. Pocos profesores han ... tenido un impacto tan significativo en mi carrera académica, Javier es uno de ellos.
