About me

Hi! I'm Heloísa, a native Brazilian Portuguese teacher. I hold a PhD in Textual Studies from Sapienza University of Rome and have been living in Italy for 7 years. I have experience teaching Portuguese to adults and as a teaching assistant. My lessons are tailored to your goals: whether you want to learn for travel, work, love of Brazilian culture, or simply to have a conversation, we will build a personalised path together. My approach is communicative: from the very first lesson we start speaking, using grammar as a tool to communicate better, not as an end in itself. I use authentic materials (songs, videos, texts) and practical activities such as role-playing and simulations. I live in Rome and speak Italian fluently, so I understand well the difficulties Italians face when learning Portuguese. I will be happy to help you achieve your goals!
