About me

I am an experienced mathematics educator with more than 40 years of teaching experience in Peru and the United States. Throughout my career, I have taught students from secondary school through university, including AP Calculus AB and BC, International Baccalaureate Mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and university-level calculus. I hold a Master of Science in Pure Mathematics from Northwestern University and have extensive experience working with students from different academic backgrounds. My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the reasoning behind mathematical concepts, rather than simply memorizing formulas and procedures. I teach in both English and Spanish and adapt my lessons to each student’s goals, level, and learning style.
