About me

I give GERMAN classes especially to those who wish to move to GERMANY, AUSTRIA, SWITZERLAND to work and/or study. Exam preparation. My work methodology is based on communication, that is to say, on the internalisation of theory through its practical use. The classes are very dynamic and I use my own materials adapted from the most recent manuals published in Germany, which I obtain on my frequent trips to the country. I have more than 20 years of experience in teaching German at the Volkshochschulen (Volkshochschulen) and Language Centres in Freiburg and the surrounding area, as well as to groups of executives in multinational companies (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). I had a free trial lesson with Herr Hamann. I explained that I first needed to have him mark a full B2 practice test, so I could get an idea of whether or not I will be able to pass my upcoming B2 German test. He said that would be fine, so I booked a paid lesson with him. Just now, he signed it 2-3 minutes lates to the online classroom without any apology for the slight delay. He seemed not ready to start a lesson. I uploaded my 'Schreiben' an ... swers to the Classroom as PDFd and asked him to mark my Schreiben answers. He seemed to have no idea how to apply the evaluation criteria. If I had known that he was not experienced in marking exams, I would have not booked him. I found this very frustrating, so I ended the lesson after just a few minutes. What a waste of my money.

La verdad es que en 20 minutos es complicado hacerte una idea de cómo será dando clases. Eso sí, simpático, atento y profesional.

Alvar es un magnifico profesor de alemán. Con su método particular de avanzar en la gramática y el vocabulario me está permitiendo ir mejorando gradualmente mi nivel de alemán. Cuenta especialmente con una elevada dosis de paciencia. Es muy recomendable para aquellos que, como yo, están empezando con la lengua.

He tenido mi primera clase con Hamann, me ha gustado mucho, explica muy bien y está atento a los errores para corregirlos oportunamente.

Hamann es un profesor excelente. Es paciente y muy empático, además de motivarte siempre en tus logros de manera muy positiva. Sabe analizar tus puntos fuertes y tus puntos débiles del alemán, utilizando así los recursos que sean necesarios para fortalecer tu gramática, pronunciación o vocabulario. Además, utiliza métodos de aprendizaje muy amenos y dinámicos. Lo recomiendo 100%!!
