About me

Hi! My name is Giulia and I’m from Rome, Italy. Italian is a fascinating language with a wonderful literary tradition and I’m sure that if you’re reading this you already know! My lessons (A1-C1) focus on the development of the four key skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) through graded materials, from simplified language to authentic Italian. I find conversation to be very useful, because it allows the student both to put their skills to the test and to learn new vocabulary from the teacher in real time. I find it important to learn the language with its context, without useless memorisation, so I will never ask you to learn any drill. Even grammar is easier to understand when you do beyond verb lists and see sentences as parts of a speech. I grew up bilingual (Italian-English) and I know French at an advanced level, so I’m sure I’ll be able to help you whether you are learning your first words or need to understand the most complex nuances of vocabulary. I can’t wait to help you express yourself better in Italian!
