Hola a todos, soy Edith Marcela Umaña, licenciada en matemáticas y física brindo refuerzos académicos, procesos de adelantamiento y/o asesorías de tareas en matemáticas y física para estudiantes de educación básica primaria y secundaria. Mi método de enseñanza y de trabajo; primero consiste en conocer sobre lo cual desea y necesita trabajar el estudiante, partir de sus conocimientos y potenciar sus fortalezas trabajando en la confianza, en la importancia de la práctica en matemáticas y de perder el miedo al fracaso. Me especializo en trabajar con estudiantes de primaria y secundaria, empleando herramientas lúdicas e interactivas que faciliten la explicación del tema. Mi objetivo es lograr que el estudiante adquiera una visual amable de las matemáticas y sepa usarlas a su favor y en su realidad y contexto. Tengo dominio del ingles en lectura, por tanto puedo trabajar guías de matemáticas y física en inglés, ya que tengo amplia experiencia con refuerzos a estudiantes de colegios bilingües.

Hello everyone, I am Edith Marcela Umaña, a graduate in mathematics and physics. I provide academic support, advanced learning processes and/or homework assistance in mathematics and physics for elementary and secondary school students.
My teaching and working method begins by understanding what the student wants and needs to work on. I start from their existing knowledge and enhance their strengths by building confidence, emphasizing the importance of practice in mathematics, and helping them overcome their fear of failure. I specialize in working with elementary and secondary school students, using playful and interactive tools to facilitate the explanation of the topic. My goal is for students to develop a positive view of mathematics and learn to use it effectively in their own lives and contexts.
I have a good command of English reading, therefore I can work on math and physics guides in English, as I have extensive experience providing support to students in bilingual schools.
