There’s a reason why I’m one of the teachers with the highest rates in the platform. ------------------------------------------------- DARÍO LLANOS JAVIERRE, piano, is a soloist, researcher and educator dedicated to the piano in all its forms and specialized in the work of the composer Franz Liszt. Despite his specialization in the romantic repertoire, he has given world premieres of works by numerous living composers, such as Alexander Tchaikovsky, José Buenagu or Miguel del Barco. The latter will see a recording of his complete work for piano released in 2023 through the Novus Música label. In 2014 he received first prize at the International Piano Competition organized by The Liszt Society in London for his interpretation of the Troisième Année from Franz Liszt's Années de Pèlerinage. Since then he has been regularly invited by The Liszt Society, The Keyboard Charitable Trust and Master Musicians International to give recital series around England. His outstanding knowledge of the work of Franz Liszt was recognized again in 2016 in his participation in the International Franz Liszt Competition in Los Angeles, in which he was also awarded. During the summer of 2018, he recorded Roger Boutry's chamber music works for double reed instruments and piano in Paris as part of the Boutry Ensemble with Dr. Laura Bennett Cameron and other great musicians from the Dallas metropolitan area such as Gina Ford, principal oboe of the Dallas Opera. In the two years preceding the pandemic, he had given more than 150 recitals in concert halls in the United States, Spain, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. For the 20th anniversary of the death of the Spanish pianist Esteban Sánchez, he was invited to perform the Rhapsody-Homage (on piano themes by Estéban Sánchez) by José Buenagu, followed by Concerto No.2 in A major, S125 by Franz Liszt, one of the favorites of Sánchez, in Badajoz with the Extremadura Orchestra. Worth noting is the breadth of his repertoire, which includes more than 100 works for solo piano and numerous concertos for piano and orchestra, as well as a wide range of works for different chamber music ensembles. ------------------------------------------------- Praised for “demonstrating exactly how a real musician can possess a limitless reserve of technical strength, (…) always placed in subservience to the uncompromising musical demands of the score ” and for his “clarity and exceptional tonal control”.
