I hold a degree in Spanish and Classical Philology and am interested in implementing technology in teaching practice and project-based learning. I have experience in elementary education, gained during my student teaching. I also have experience in group management, having participated in a Catholic youth group. I am skilled in audiovisual tools, group facilitation, academic research, and teamwork. I am currently taking courses on academic innovation, computational thinking, and programming on the Coursera platform to enhance my profile and focus on teaching Spanish using digital tools. I am eager to begin teaching and make a positive impact on my students' lives, enabling them to grow as well-rounded citizens.
My primary teaching methodology to date is Project-Based Learning. I am committed to the active participation of students in the learning process and to making it meaningful. This means we study topics that are relevant to the students themselves. My methodology aims to foster a more equitable relationship between teacher and student. However, the roles of teacher and student remain separate. In this methodology, the teacher is a guide to learning, not a provider who possesses all the knowledge, and the student is not a passive recipient. Of course, if more intensive or topic-focused tutoring is required, specific sessions will be held for that purpose. However, my goal is to implement comprehensive learning processes with the students, so that they themselves can track their learning progress and identify their starting point compared to their final point.
We will use different resources, both digital and physical, and reading and writing will be key parts of the learning process. In addition, there will be activities that aim to address oral communication more systematically. Videos, audio recordings, and written work will be used as course materials and as student assignments.
I hope we can carry out enriching processes that contribute not only to pure knowledge but also to humanistic development.
