My name is Clara Fuentes, I am 31 years old and I have been teaching English through Classgap since 2019 while traveling around the world. I have two certificates: TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and the ITTT certificate for teaching Business English. My lessons are dynamic and adaptable for each student. I prepare them based on the English level, the student's age, the previous knowledge, the objectives, and specific goals. Usually, the first part of the class is a "warm up" when we speak freely about the weekend, how we are feeling that day, how work was, etc. Then, as I choose one topic for each lesson, we focus on learning the new vocabulary and expressions. Depending on the topic, we will read an article, watch a video, listen to an audio or a conversation, etc. Afterward, we will apply what we learned by doing different exercises: questionnaires, quizzes, grammar exercises, games, etc. In this section, we will also review and explain grammar as needed. As the classes are very personal, I believe it is fundamental to take advantage of it. So, we put a lot of attention to speaking and pronunciation skills, spending more than 10-15 minutes per class learning how to express ourselves, giving our opinions, asking for more information or indications, etc.
